June 6th to 8th 2014
Synchronize your watches, we’re going back in time! The marvels and adventures of history await us as The Clock counts down to Cuboree 2014 – Time Machine!
Cuboree is an exciting, fun-filled weekend of camping and outdoor activities. All Mississauga Area Cub Scout Packs are invited. Other CEC Packs are also welcome. Last year, hundreds of youth and adults attended. Camp is being held at Goodyear Memorial Scout Camp, Orangeville Ontario, from Friday June 6th through to Sunday June 8th, 2014.
THEME & ACTIVITIES
There will be 10 events supporting our theme “Time Machine”. Each event will last about 30 minutes and will include time to rotate to the next event. A 15-minute snack break for both the morning and afternoon rotations will allow youth eat and drink snacks they’ve packed along. Water will be available at each station. All participants are encouraged to ‘lug a mug’ or have a refillable water bottle.
This year, our Cub Scouts have suggested dozens of event ideas. Now that we have picked the best, we are asking the Scouters of Packs attending to volunteer and host an event. Creatively adapt an activity or event to our theme. (Indicate your interest/preference on the Registration Form. 1st come, 1st serve.):

This event allows youth to camp on their own with minimal supervision, to be contained and self-sufficient for the weekend.
Competition: Patrols will be marked on every skill and camping aspect from the Hike Start point on Friday night, to breakfast on Sunday morning. Patrols camp on their own within earshot of “Hub/Sub-camp” staff the entire weekend. Marks are recorded for hiking, camp set-up up, pioneering, cooking, and for event completion
Events: Patrols will compete during Saturday on themed events & activities for points that go towards winning 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishes in each category.
